Augment | UHerts design studio

The Interior Architecture and Design studio seeks to use design to adapt, transform and improve existing buildings and spaces through enabling new uses and experiences. Design proposals take on a transformational role through re-defining existing contexts and functions in space. Possible research routes include: sustainability, social inclusion, new forms of pre-fabrication and production, future trends, etc.

The design studio is paired with the Technology module, whereby the study of the structures, materials and building envelope of the existing building prior to intervention are crucial stages of the design development. The proposals are explored through a series of means, through digital renders, models, sketches and programmatic feasibility reports.
